How do I book a table at Dukes?
You can book online, or call us on 01280 822 444.
What are your opening times?
Lunch (bar menu): Monday to Saturday, 11.30am to 3pm.
Sunday lunch (Sunday roast menu): 12pm to 4pm.
Dinner: every day, 6pm to 9.30pm.
Where is Dukes Steakhouse?
Dukes is inside Villiers Hotel at 3 Castle Street, Buckingham MK18 1BS.
Is there parking?
Yes. Villiers Hotel has 42 free parking spaces, on a first come, first served basis.
Can I walk in without booking?
Yes, if we have a table free. To be sure of a table, it’s best to book.
Do I need to be staying at Villiers Hotel to eat at Dukes?
No. Dukes is open to everyone, not just hotel guests.
Food and menus
Is Dukes just a steakhouse?
No. Steaks from the grill sit alongside spiced salmon, monkfish, beer-battered cod, maple-glazed chicken, a mushroom bourguignon pie and a vegan jackfruit burger.
Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?
Yes. Every dish on the menu is labelled, so vegetarian (V) and vegan (VG) choices are easy to spot. They include the charred celeriac steak (VG), the mushroom bourguignon pie (VG) and the mushroom, truffle and honey arancini (V).
Can you cater for allergies and gluten-free diets?
Our menus mark gluten-free (GF) and dairy-free (DF) dishes, and dishes that can be adapted (O). Please tell your server about any allergies before you order. Dishes are prepared in a shared kitchen, so we can’t guarantee total allergen separation.
What’s the difference between lunch and dinner?
At lunchtime, Monday to Saturday from 11.30am to 3pm, we serve the bar menu: sandwiches, sharing boards, burgers and salads. The full Dukes menu, including steaks from the grill, is served every evening from 6pm to 9.30pm.
Do you serve Sunday lunch?
Yes. The Sunday roast menu is served from 12pm to 4pm.
Does the menu change?
Yes. Our chefs change the menu with the seasons. The menu page shows the current dishes and prices.
Good to know
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome at Dukes.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant.
Is there step-free access?
Yes, there is step-free access to Dukes.
Can you take large groups?
Yes, subject to availability. It’s best to book ahead, and for larger parties please call us on 01280 822 444.
Can I come in just for a drink?
Yes. You’re welcome to come in for a drink at the bar.
Is there a dress code?
No, there’s no dress code.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes. Gift vouchers can be bought online from Villiers Hotel.
Is there a discount for regulars?
